

She studied acting at the State Conservatory in Ostrava. In 1982, she joined the Těšín Theatre, where she spent almost twenty years and also served for several years as artistic director. After leaving her permanent engagement in 2002, she worked freelance. She appeared as a guest at Prague’s Činoherní klub, where she was nominated for the Alfred Radok Award for the role of Widow Quin in The Playboy of the Western World, and also performed at Švanda Theatre, Broadway Theatre, Strašnice Theatre, Divadlo Komedie and the F. X. Šalda Theatre in Liberec. Since 2013, she has been a permanent member of the ensemble of Divadlo pod Palmovkou.
At Palmovka, she has created a wide range of distinctive characters, including Death in Federico García Lorca’s Blood Wedding, Signora Libera in The Chioggia Scuffles, Praskovya in Hodge’s Collaborators, Olivia in Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, Ellie in Allen’s Mighty Aphrodite and Surmena in the stage adaptation of The Žítková Goddesses. In recent years, she has also attracted attention as Aunt Moravcová in the production The 294 Brave and as Monica Murray in By the Bog of Cats. She has been nominated for the Thalia Award four times for her acting performances.
In addition to her theatre work, she also appears in film and television. She has acted, for example, in the television series Vyprávěj, in the films Small Town (2003), Dodgeball (2015) and in the fairy tale film The Magical Stone (2019). In 2025, she attracted attention with the leading role in the film The Choirmaster.
Outside acting, she has long been involved in teaching. She works as a leading teacher and acting methodology specialist at the Prague Conservatory and is actively involved in the organisation of theatre life.
