

She was born in Písek and studied music and drama at the Prague Conservatory. She accepted her first engagement at the Municipal Theatre in Most, where she worked from 1983 to 2000. She then became a member of Divadlo pod Palmovkou, where she remains to this day.
At Palmovka, she has portrayed a number of distinctive roles, including Olga in Gorky’s Summerfolk, Roxane in Rostand’s Cyrano de Bergerac, Ranevskaya in Chekhov’s The Cherry Orchard and Mama Morton in the musical Chicago. For the role of Edith Piaf in the production Edith and Marlene, she was nominated for the Thalia Award in 2000. Audiences can currently also see her in the productions The Žítková Goddesses, By the Bog of Cats and Pygmalion.
She has also appeared in musical projects such as Kudykam, Long Live Rock ’n’ Roll! and A Christmas Carol. She has made guest appearances on other stages as well, including at Dejvice Theatre as Gertrude in Shakespeare’s Hamlet and at the J. K. Tyl Theatre in Plzeň as Elizabeth Báthory in the musical production The Lady of Čachtice.
In addition to theatre, you may also know her from television. She played, for example, a teacher in Jan Hřebejk’s film Pupendo, and appeared in From Subway with Love and in the film Václav. Television audiences may have seen her in the series Proč bychom se netopili, Kriminálka Anděl and Hraběnky.
She is also devoted to singing, especially chanson, and enjoys working on radio projects, which she herself describes as being close to her heart. She comes from an artistic family; her brothers Andy and Jan are involved in music.
