At the age of just twenty, he became a member of A Studio Rubín, where over the course of ten years he performed in approximately twenty productions, including his own dramatisation of Gustav Meyrink’s novel Golem.
After 1995, he left the theatre environment for a time, working in securities trading at the German Hypo-Bank, later running a real estate agency in both the Czech Republic and Spain, and for several years also making a living by breeding sheep and goats. He returned to theatre in 2017, when he began appearing as a guest at Divadlo pod Palmovkou, and since 2019 he has been its permanent member.
At Palmovka, he has created a number of distinctive roles, including the Ambassador in Pygmalion, Kecal in The Bartered Bride, Snug in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Vincentio in The Taming of the Shrew and Reinhard Heydrich in the production The 294 Brave. He has also attracted audiences’ attention in Encyclopedia of Action Film and The Žítková Goddesses. His earlier career includes appearances in many productions at A Studio Rubín and guest performances at Divadlo pod Palmovkou before his permanent engagement, where he performed, for example, in The Cherry Orchard, A Year in the Country, Measure for Measure and The King’s Speech.
In recent years, he has attracted attention with a role in the war drama All Quiet on the Western Front (2022) and in the film Brothers (2023), which won the Czech Lion for Best Film and became the Czech candidate for the Oscar. Television audiences know him mainly as Hynek Páleník from the series Ordinace v růžové zahradě 2, and he has also appeared in the popular series Modrý kód and Specialisté.
