

He was born in Prague’s Libeň district, where he also took his first steps as an actor at the then People’s School of Art under the guidance of Daniela Hlaváčová. He studied acting at the Higher Vocational School of Acting in Prague and, while still a student, made his debut in the television series Dobrá čtvrť (2005).
From 2009 to 2017, he was a member of the F. X. Šalda Theatre in Liberec, where he portrayed characters such as Nick Bottom (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), Dobchinsky (The Government Inspector) and Trofimov (The Cherry Orchard). During his engagement in Liberec, he co-founded the experimental company F. X. Kalba with director Tomáš Dianiška, staging original productions on the theatre’s small stage.
Since 2018, he has been a member of Divadlo pod Palmovkou and is one of its most frequently cast actors. He also appears as a guest at other theatres, including Na Fidlovačce Theatre, Radek Brzobohatý Theatre, MeetFactory, A Studio Rubín, Ta Fantastika and Divadlo AHA!, and regularly performs at the Summer Shakespeare Festival. He has appeared on screen in several television series and films, including the co-production drama A Royal Affair (2012).
For the role of Frantík in the production Frantík Without Arms, he received the 2019 Theatre Critics’ Award for Best Male Performance of the Year and was shortlisted for the 2019 Thalia Award.
Kuba is also involved in street theatre and clowning, has learned to walk on stilts, and uses his experience in open-air performances. He enjoys travelling and spent an extended period in New Zealand, where he earned money picking fruit. He also occasionally performs as a DJ. He is happy.
